Seychelles Nightlife
Seychelles is not the perfect destination for nightlife. In Seychelles, the scattered bars, casinos and discos are quite lively and fun. Also the rather large hotels do a good job of making sure their guests are entertained. But still, be sure you don’t expect anything on the lines of Bali or Phuket in Seychelles archipelago.If you are looking for some bars outside the hotels then you have quite less alternatives. The main drinking place in Victoria region is The Pirates Arms which opens out onto the mainstreet. This is the main drinking hub for those who are looking only to have some drinks and chat.
On the other hand, you can enjoy live shows in the bars of several larger hotels. You can enjoy band playing covers or Creole cultural festival.
There are currently just 5 discotheques in the Seychelles, 3 on Mahé and 2 on Praslin. The most well known is Katiolo's on Anse Faure between the international airport and Anse Royale. Tequila Boom Nightclub is located in the north of the island near to the majority of the main hotels on the main island and it is the largest club in the Seychelles. Entrance is SR 150 ( Approx USD 25.00) for men and sometimes, depending on the day, half price for women. Wednesdays is ladies night, so ladies free.
Katiolo's rival on Mahe is Ozone, which tends towards more organised jollity, with raffles, and prizes awarded for best-dressed patrons and best dancers. On the Praslin island, The Jungle is currently accepted as rather more popular than Oxygen, though both discotheques guarantee a good time.
One of the major highlights of nightlife in Seychelles is the casinos. These casinos are the best place for gaming. You would be able to enjoy some great time here. Check out for the Amusement Centre, Independence Avenue, Victoria. It comprises of 200 fruit machines. On evenings, you may need to follow the dress code.
On the other hand, Berjaya International Casino is one of the major gaming outlets in Mahe. It features 16 Blackjack and roulette tables and 55 slot machines.
For cinema fans, Seychelles has Deepam. It is positioned in Albert Street, Victoria. Casino des Iles which houses slots, roulette, blackjack and backgammon is located on the Praslin Island.
