Cancun has many malls, market places and boutiques. Because of the rich cultural diversity of Cancun you can find all kinds of unique crafts. Basically "shopping in Cancun" is fun. Besides local smaller shops, here is a list of shopping centers that are suitable for shopping.Plaza La Isla shopping mall is located along the Nichupte Lagoon under a giant canopy. Canals and small bridges are designed around the mall to give the place a Venetian look. In addition to a wide range of shops, the mall has a small marina, an aquarium, a disco, restaurants, and movie theaters.
Kukulkan Plaza is a 60 thousand m2 shopping mall that has more than 260 shops and boutiques, restaurants and bars as well as a food court offering many different fast-food options.
Flamingo Plaza is a small but high-tech plaza decorated with marble. Among other facilities you can find some bank branches and many ATMs. Famous restaurants like Planet Hollywood, Margarita Ville, Outback, Pat O’Brien’s are all located here.
Plaza Caracol is the largest mall in Cancun. It is located north of the Cancun Convention Center. Plaza Caracol has about 220 shops and boutiques. Boutiques such as Benetton, Gucci and Ralph Lauren all offer prices lower than their counterparts in the United States.
Forum by the Sea is a nice entertainment and shopping plaza in Cancun. This three level shopping mall offers brand name stores and restaurants in a relaxing atmosphere. Plaza Forum houses the Hard Rock Cafe Cancun, Carlos N Charlie’s and Rainforest Cafe.
Plaza Las Americas is a large shopping mall located in downtown Cancun (El Centro). This is a boutique shopping mall with about 60 stores, 3 restaurants and 8 movie theaters. The mall houses Sears, Liverpool, C&A, Pelletier, Sanborns and Mama.
