Acapulco Nightlife

Acapulco nightlife in MexicoAcapulco has an amazing nightlife. On Fridays and Saturdays year-round, and every night on spring break, the city is alive with flashing lights and music pumping out of every establishment along the main strip and in Las Brisas. For spring-breakers, the beaches and nightlife are probably the main attractions, though there are many other things to do if you read the other sections of this site.  Most discos will cost you approximately $40 for entrance but this fee covers an unlimited drink through the night.

Mandara: Mandara is located on the Las Brisas hillside above Acapulco bay.  Mandara, with its great light show and sound system, is absolutely one of the top discos for dancing in Acapulco.  Also, El Privado, the disco that opens at 6 in the morning (after all discos are closed) is located here in Mandara.

El Alebrije: This high technology disco club in Acapulco has an exterior of reflection pools and gardens. Inside the club, stadium seats, booths and round tables surround the huge dance floor.  The disco has a capacity of approximately 1200 guests.  This capacity more than doubles as a venue for concerts and live performances.  Be sure to dress casual, shorts and t-shirts are not allowed in El Alebrije.

Baby’O in Acapulco is a relatively small disco with a capacity of about 250 guests. Baby’O has been open for more than 30 years now and the club itself bears the stamp of the classic and classy discotheque culture of the 80s.  This club is probably Acapulco’s most exclusive and most famous disco.  Baby'O is located on the Costera Alemán road in Costa Azul.

With a few exceptions, the rest of Acapulco's gorgeous nightlife is found scattered along the Costera, Acapulco's main drag, running from the famous salsa club Copacabana all the way to El Alebrije (detailed above) at the end of the Golden Zone in Acapulco.
